Summary of Position

Under the general direction of the Director, Program Manager, the Senior Program Manager (Reliability) will have a mix of strategic and operational responsibilities working collaboratively with cross-functional Executive Leaders and Organizational Stakeholders to identify, assess root cause, and solve complex Operational “Problems.”   

Of priority, the Sr. Program Manager (Reliability) will be a leader possessing strong communication skills to apply standard program management practices to align priorities, provide visibility, determine accountability, set expectations, maintain timelines, remove impediments, drive execution, and deliver optimal and sustaining results to complex operational problems.  The Sr. Program Manager (Reliability) role will manage the Engineering Organization’s responsibilities and reporting with a leadership Reliability Forum with the overarching goal to ensure reliability of Teladoc products, services, and processes by addressing root causes of issues impacting software, systems, products, people, quality, clients, and processes.

The perfect candidate will be personable, proactive, open to learning, collaborate well with others and have a positive attitude, someone who is more apt to saying “yes” or “I will find a way.”

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans and timelines for identifying, addressing, communicating, and driving accountability of Reliability issues within the Engineering Organization to solve operational issues identified and prioritized by an executive sponsored Reliability Forum.
  • Manage expectations with a cross-functional leadership team on a weekly basis.
  • Use dynamic metrics, dashboards, and tooling to track progress, identify risk and create traceability of deliverables and effort.
  • Budget forecasting, tracking, and reporting.
  • Efficiently manage and lead team meetings to drive decisions and identify action items critical to project success.   
  • Define and take responsibility for project scope, project requirements, project budget, project resource requirements, project plans, project deliverables and milestones.   
  • Drive project strategy decisions with Senior Leadership teams; cross-functional messaging and influencing.   
  • Effectively plan meetings with detailed agendas, expected outcomes and clearly documented decisions, actions and next steps.   
  • Create formal networks with key decision makers and is widely recognized as an expert and thought leader by both internal and external community.
  • Cultivate trusting professional relationships, working across teams to build consistency and quality of deliverables.
  • Act as a role model and a champion for Teladoc Health’s values, operational excellence, and project management practices.
  • Mentor team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.  MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in Program management in a technical discipline/industry.
  • Project management experience (PMP desired), including planning, process development and execution.  
  • Prior experience coordinating with business partners to effectively communicate requirements, drive execution and deliver results.  
  • Ability to translate complex technical problems into simplified business language.
  • Ability to see the “Big Picture” and strive to always be “One Step Ahead.”
  • Strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized and ability to influence through analytics.
  • Ability to create strong partnerships and built trust with colleagues.
  • Experience using video conferencing tools.
  • Experience with data analytics/visualization tools: Power BI, Tableau.
  • Experience using with Atlassian productivity tools:  Jira, Confluence.
  • Fluent with all Microsoft Office Tools:  Outlook, Word, Excel (including Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, etc.

The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - 145,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU’s, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2023. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
