Summary of Position
In this role you will manage and grow Teladoc Health's partnerships with major insurance companies (health plan payers) while building strategic relationships within your account base, across a matrix of roles and areas of expertise, including executive-level personnel. You will have the opportunity to expand Teladoc Health's reach within your account base, driving revenue growth, product expansion and market development. You will work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in depth evaluation of variable factors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of HP clients with varying size and complexity, with an emphasis on more strategic and complicated relationships.
- Develop and present quarterly outcomes that use program results data to construct a powerful story to define Teladoc Health’s value proposition, to day to day contacts and executive-level clients.
- Develop and maintain an operating calendar, detailed account plan, and mapping processes for each health plan client. Work closely with internal partners including but not limited to sales, product, clinical, data science, implementation, reporting, legal and finance personnel to deliver on Teladoc Health’s side of the strategic roadmap.
- Manage and deliver on issue resolution and customer satisfaction within your account base utilizing various teams to research billing ,eligibility, reporting, and group setup issues.
- Demonstrate a broad comprehension of the customer’s needs, market trends, industry challenges, major players, relevant products and technologies.
- Build strategic relationships within your account base, across a matrix of roles and areas of expertise.
- Identify client challenges and risk areas, develop solution and execute proactively to avoid churn.
- Identify and secure expansion and upsell opportunities in partnership with sales Account Owners.
- Strong leadership and mentoring of more junior team members
- Participation in workgroups and projects that focus on process improvement, revenue generation and/or client experience improvements.
- Active in a SME role for a particular product, program or process.
Qualifications Expected for Position
- 5-10 years Account Management experience or equivalent within the health plan payer space required; experience working for a health plan is highly desired A proven track record of success (retention, renewal, expansion) with complex and strategic accounts required
- Experience transforming account productivity from volume-based to value-based results
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building and listening skills, with a natural, effective consultative style
- Ability to energize, communicate and build rapport at all levels within an organization
- Strong project management skills, with a demonstrable ability to corral and manage details in a fast-paced, fluid environment
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience advising, presenting to and persuading senior corporate personnel
- Enthusiasm for working collaboratively with highly-talented professionals
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Leadership experience and skill, with a vision for market development
- Bachelors degree preferred (BS/BA); Masters degree in Public Health highly valued
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (ability to pull and analyze client data)
- Willingness to travel
- Technology and/or professional services experience a plus
The base salary range for this position is $115,000-125,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU’s, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2023. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
