Job Details

Teladoc Health is a global, whole person care company made up of a diverse community of people dedicated to transforming the healthcare experience. As an employee, you’re empowered to show up every day as your most authentic self and be a part of something bigger – thriving both personally and professionally. Together, let’s empower people everywhere to live their healthiest lives.

The Opportunity

At Teladoc Health Inc, a Platform Architecture Sr Director is an enabler and communicator that interprets the needs of Product Management, documents those needs at a conceptual level, and partners with Product and Engineering to create appropriate solutions for the short, medium, and long-term evolution of complex systems in healthcare. In addition, a person in this role coordinates with Agile Release Train Engineers to enable critical path analysis and roadmap planning. Finally, it is the Architect's job to document common standards, platforms and communicate new solutions and emergent standards to all parties to ensure that the company "knows what it knows" and "learns what it needs to know next."

Architects at Teladoc Health are not high-level engineers who dictate solutions to others. This group is high IQ and high EQ. We are looking for professionals who are humble, collaborative, and offer their opinions on new designs last and only after collaborating and capturing the best of what engineering provides. You should live/breathe/think in box-and-line diagrams, constantly take notes, strive for cohesion, and be patient with your colleagues but intolerant of inconsistent or poorly communicated architectural depictions.

Finally, a Teladoc Health architect lives the mantra, "Buy what accelerates you. Build what differentiates you." Therefore, we expect a mature build vs. buy approach to design and POC coordination that embraces these tenants and optimizes our capital and operational engineering resources.
