The Opportunity
The Health Plan Strategy & Growth (HSG) Team, which is focused on sales strategy and execution in the US health plan and payvider markets (including Commercial and Government lines of business). The Associate Account Owner is responsible for driving sales growth in new and existing clients, and market development within your team’s territory. This includes developing quarterly business intelligence reports to support targeting and go-to-market initiatives, assisting with account relationship mapping and opportunity forecasting, and building strategic relationships with accounts.
This position will have a direct impact on our sales success and will allow the Associate Account Owner the opportunity to partner closely with leadership as well as other internal teams such as Client Management, Product, Marketing, Solution Strategy and Sales Ops.
Responsibilities
Growth Management
- Assist in expanding Teladoc Health’s reach within your Team’s account base, driving sales growth, relationship and product expansion, and new market development.
- Role will have an assigned Territory and will be responsible for Net New Sales and Pipeline development
- Oversee the Health Plan Team’s development of quarterly reports that enables them to use data to construct a powerful story that defines Teladoc Health’s value proposition for executive-level client presentation.
- In collaboration with your team, develop an account planning/mapping process, and detailed account sales plan/forecast.
- Build strategic relationships within your account base, across a matrix of roles and areas of expertise, including executive and operational-level personnel within your team’s assigned accounts.
- Demonstrate comprehension of the client’s needs, market trends, industry
- challenges, major players, relevant products and technologies.
Leadership Support
- Work closely with the leadership in developing timely and accurate new business forecasts, renewals with price increases and opportunity pipeline management for existing accounts.
- Ensure Salesforce activity reporting account details are updated regularly.
- Help your team maximize, drive and achieve membership, revenue and margin goals while staying within the allocated budget.
Sales Operations
- Partner closely with internal partners including Product, Marketing, RFP Team and Sales Operations
- Assist with data collection, production of reports, analysis and identification of trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure timely and effective updates of SalesForce and other internal systems
- Participate in project teams, as needed, analyzing new programs, projects or ventures that require analysis of performance or clinical data.
- Proactively work cross-functionally to identify and manage Integration interdependencies.
- Create “how to” guidelines and appropriate playbooks to be used as a blueprint for standard templates and tool kit.
Team Goals (sample examples are)
- Create a month over month tracking report for inbound and outbound lead metrics to provide a broader view of how our lead volumes and conversions are trending.
- Create an outbound quarterly campaign report to provide insight into how individual campaigns are trending with lead, opportunity conversions and closed won opportunity data.
- Attend one (1) professional webinar/educational session a month to increase our knowledge of the industry
- Attend at least one (1) Commercial Learning Education session a quarter.
- Attend one (1) or more national/regional sales meetings annually.
- Attend one (1) professional conferences/tradeshows annually.
- Achieve tighter alignment and partnership with marketing by:
- Syncing calendars with our campaigns/cadences,
- Strategic planning on campaigns with market leaders,
The time spent on each responsibility reflects an estimate and is subject to change dependent on business needs.
Candidate Profile
- A Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA)
- 3+ years of sales experience in tech or health care
- Proven and consistent historical track record of achieving growth goals
- Competitive spirit
- Flexible/adaptable and creative
- Comfortable in a role where you will be asked to make outbound calls to accounts
- Passionate about what Teladoc Health can do and is excited to be a part of that vision
- Demonstrated interpersonal, relationship-building and listening skills, with a natural, effective consultative style
- Demonstrated ability to energize, communicate and build rapport at all levels within an organization.
- Project management skills, with a demonstrable ability to corral and manage details in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience advising, presenting to and persuading senior corporate personnel.
- Enthusiasm for working collaboratively with highly-talented professionals.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Leadership experience and skill, with a vision for new business / new market development.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using Salesforce preferred
- Willingness to travel for work as needed
The base salary range for this position is $70K-$90K. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU’s, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2023. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
